1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Yelverton St Mary |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
Yelverton sits to the south-east of Norwich around 8 miles from the city and just south of the Beccles road. Nowadays it's a dormitory village of commuters to employment in the city, in the past it was a largely agricultural area. St Mary's church is a solid ediface with a squat wide tower - not elegant but eminently practical. Mostly from the Perpendicular period it is atypical Norfolk church. The parish encompassed not just Yelverton but also the former parish of Alpington. |

These records were transcribed from microfiche No 4 of the Yelverton series held at the Norfolk Record Office. Throughout they were very clear and not difficult to read - a pleasure to transcribe. |
