Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The tiny parish of Wilby sits in southern Norfolk just
east of the main A11 connecting Norwich to London and about three miles
south of the market town of Attleborough. There is little to note in the
parish it being merely a scatter of houses on a bend in a narrow lane.

A single standard 800-entry book covers not only the period of this transcript but carries on into the early Twenty First century demonstrating the tiny population size of this parish. This register is filmed on microfilm MF/RO707 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office and from which this transcript was produced. As befits the recent deposition and filming of these records the microfilm quality was excellent making this a very straightforward transcript to prepare. It is hoped that few errors will have crept into its preparation. |
