1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Warham St Mary |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Warham St Mary lies in northern Norfolk
on the coast just to the east of the port of Wells-next-the-Sea. The village
of Warham is relatively small yet has two parishes to its name (St Mary
& All Saints). Warham is set slightly inland from the north coast
of Norfolk. The village is on a ridge overlooking both the salt marshes
of the north coast and also the meandering River Stiffkey to the east.
Of the two parishes St Mary is the westernmost. The village is clustered
along the lane which leads eastwards from the Well-Walsingham road towards
Binham. |

A single standard 800-entry register covers the period of this transcript and continues to tha late 20th century. This register is filmed on Microfilm MF709 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office and from which this transcript was prepared. The film, whilst relatively elderly, is adequate to the task and as a result this was a straightforward transcript to prepare. It is to be hoped that few errors will have crept into its production. |
