1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Thwaite by Alby All Saints |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Thwaite is one of two in Norfolk hence the
qualifier "by Alby". This Thwaite lies in north-eastern Norfolk
just north of the market town of Aylsham and to the west of the main A140
road which connects Norwich with Cromer. The parish is a small one and
has no modern centre being a scatter of cottages and farms in the fields
between Erpingham and Alby. |

A single register forms the whole of this relatively small transcript as befits one of Norfolk's tinier parishes. This register was recently filmed and is held on Microfilm MF/RO381 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. This recent filming is of excellent quality with good sharp images and formed a very satisfactory medium to draw the transcript. It is to be hoped few errors have crept in to its compilation. |
