Baptisms 1813 to 1880
Southrepps is a substantial
village lying in the north-east of Norfolk, just inland from the North
Sea. One of group of settlements which lie back from the coast by two
or three miles, Southrepps serves a largely arable countryside as a centre
for provisions and community. North-east of the regional market town of
North Walsham, the village retains the shops, pubs and local amenities
which help to retain the rural population. |

This transcript was compiled from Microfilm MF 1680 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. This is a relatively recent filming and reflects the improved standards of archiving to this media. Throughout the transcript was brilliantly clear and the hand-writing was by and large extremely legible, a pleasure to transcribe and with luck few errors will have occurred in this transcript. |
