1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Reepham Wesleyan Chapel |
Baptisms 1818 to 1837
The Wesleyan Chapel in Reepham (technically sited in Hackford parish) was founded in 1816 and sited in the town's Station Road. This was a substantial congregation and flourishes today albeit converted through the various secessions and recombinations into a plain Methodist chapel today. This register was commenced in 1818 and ran through until it was surrendered in 1837 forming The National Archives deposit RG4/1953. The register is of the standard format used within Anglican parishes of a gridded 8-entry per page. A microfilm copy of the register is held by Norfolk Record Office on Microfilm MF1159 and this was used to prepare this transcript. In recent times digistised copies of this register have appeared on most of the commercial sites for those with a subscription. The film was of good quality and the handwriting not too taxing making for a straightforward piece to prepare. |
