Baptisms 1813 to 1880
South Raynham parish (which
incorporates the disused parish of West Raynham) lies on the busy A1065
Fakenham to Swaffham road. The focus of the present hamley lies on that
road. Historically South, West & East Raynham are inextricably mixed
up with the estates of the Townshend family at Raynham Hall. |

These records were compiled from Microfiche
2 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. This fiche is a rather
elderly filming and was wanting in clarity in places. Fortunately the number
of families resident in the parish was small so aiding identification of
the names. With a small set of parishioners and frequent changes in the vicarage no period with poor hand-writing was too lengthy. It is to be hoped that few errors will have crept into this transcript. |
