1813 to 1880 Baptism Project North Pickenham St Andrew |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
North Pickenham parish sits in central Norfolk, just south-east
of the market town of Swaffham and south of the main east to west A47
road. The village is centred within a broad plateau and is crossed by
the ancient trackway of Peddar's Way which heads determinedly north by
north-west across the parish. What little centre the parish has is clustered
around the cross-roads of lanes where St Andrew's church sits to the south. |

The records were transcribed from Microfilm MF596 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. Despite this being a relatively elderly filming the condition of the registers must have been good to produce clear images and good contrast throughout. Given the readability of the images there remains solely the possibility that mis-reads of the handwriting might have caused errors but in general this was a straight-forward transcript to prepare. |
