The chapel for the Lady Huntingtons Connexion in Norwich was erected as early as c1753 within the city parish of St Martin at Palace Plain. This branch of the Methodist movement became established in the city slightly earlier if the earliest baptismal dates in the register are believed. The sect was still in existence as late as 1915 whence it is mentioned as resident in Bishopgate Street in the Kelly's Directory of that year. Registers, there are two, were deposited as part of the legislation of 1837 to collect such registers and are now held in the National Archives, the first RG4/1963 runs from 1751 to 1774 with RG4/3132 running from 1775 to 1837, the latter register being the subject of this transcript. The register is a simple un-ruled book with the entries ruled between them to segregate, a copy of this register is held at Norfolk Record Office on Microfilm MF1153 from which this transcript was prepared. In recent times digitised imagery of this register has become availble on most of the commercial sites for those with appropriate subscriptions. The first 4 entries listed here carry no baptism date and are treated as birth entries only.
