Norwich Calvert Street United Methodist Chapel

Baptisms 1873 to 1880

The United Methodist Chapel in Calvert Street within the city of Norwich was founded in 1809 with the chapel completed the following year. The chapel survived into modern times only being demolished in 1966 as the site was required for the controversial flyover constructed as part of the Norwich Inner Ring Road. Records of Baptisms at the chapel were deposited with Norfolk Record Office as their deposit FC22/102 and cover the period from 1873 to 1944 in a typical Methodist style register with 4 entries ruled in a pre-stamped grid to each page. This register is filmed on Microfilm MF1728 and this was used to prepare this transcript, it being in a good condition there were issues of legibility, it is thought that there are no digitised images of this register available.
