Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Narborough lies in central western Norfolk
between the market town of Swaffham and the port of King's Lynn. The parish
once had the busy main road of the A47 running through its centre but
is now much quieter as a by-pass to the north has relieved the pressure.
The village today is a compact one lying largely to the south of the crossing
over the River Nar. Most of today's housing lies beside the former A47
and also the road to Marham. |

The register from which this transcript is prepared was an early deposit and is filmed on microfiche 8 & 9 in the collection of the Norfolk Record |Office. These fiche are not of a quality of today's filmings but given the excellent state of preservation of the records are actually perfectly adequate to read in the main. As a result the only caveat is the usual one regarding hand-writing - in the main this was a relatively straightforward transcript to prepare. |
