1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Kirby Bedon St Andrew |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Kirby Bedon lies just south-east of the
city of Norwich and barely 4 miles from the city centre yet is a rural
spot all the same. The straggle of cottages that constitute the village
lies just off a minor road which in turn is north of the A146 from Norwich
to Lowestoft. The village is a mixed parish with arable fields on the
southern part but declining towards the grazing marshes of the Yare valley
to the north. |

A single standard 800-entry register covers the period of the transcript and indeed continues onwards to 1914. This register if filmed on Microfilm MF1682 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office and from which this transcript was prepared. The filming is a recent one and the quality is excellent with clear and contrasting images throughout. As a consequence this was a straightforward transcript to prepare and it is to be hoped few errors will have crept into its production. |
