Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Felbrigg sits in north-eastern Norfolk just
inland from the coastal town of Cromer and west of the road from there
to Norwich. There is little remaining of the original village of Felbrigg
it has largely been subsumed within the estate of Felbrigg Hall - residence
of the Windham family. There is a small group of cottages at the eastern
entance on the lane to Roughton but that is it apart from a scatter of
farms. The estate is nor in the hands of the National Trust and on sunny
weekends throngs with visitors. |

The records forming this transcript were prepared from Microfilm MF589 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. Despite being a relatively elderly film the images were of an adequate quality. The usual caveats regarding hand-writing apply but in the main this was a relatively straightforward transcript and it is hoped few errors have crept in. |
