1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Great Ellingham St James |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
Great Ellingham is a substantial
village lying in central southern Norfolk midway been the two market towns
of Attleborough & Watton. The village lies on the B1077 and the centre
of the village is focussed on the main cross-roads with that road's intersection
with the road from Hingham. |

These records were compiled from two separate
deposits of baptism registers - the initial register was filmed on Microfiche
5 & 6 and the second register on Microfilm MF1499. Whilst the fiche-held
register was an old filming the quality was acceptably good if lacking in
contrast at times, the second more recent filming was considerably better
in clarity. Subject to the usual caveat regarding legibility of hand-writing not too much difficulty was found in reading the entries and it is to be hoped few errors have crept into the compilation of this transcript. |
