1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Drayton St Margaret |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
Drayton lies north-west of
Norwich along th A1067 road to Fakenham. Once a separate village Drayton
is now, very much, a suburb of the city despite a thin segment of "green-belt"
separating it from the city. Situated in the attractive Wensum valley
the original village centre revolves around the cross-roads and the two
inns - the Red Lion & The Cock Tavern. |

These records were transcribed from two register
deposits, the first register was filined on Microfiche 5 & 6, the second
register on Microfilm MF1528. The first register, as an old filming was
a little poor to read in places due to deterioration of the original, the
second filming was much clearer and well filmed. Despite the poor quality of some of the fiche pictures in general the registers were clear enough to read and with minor exceptions largely legible in their hand-writing. It is to be hoped few errors will have occurred in the preparation of this transcript. |
