1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Colkirk St Mary |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Colkirk lies in Central Norfolk about 2
miles south of the market town of Fakenham and just of the B1146 road
that links Fakenham to East Dereham. The village is compact and centred
around a square of lanes, most services remain in the village which is
rare in rural Norfolk. |

Two standard register books cover the period of the transcript and both are filmed on Microfilm MF1403 in the collection of Norfolk Record Office and from which this transcript was prepared. Both are standard 800 entry books, the second without preprinted numbering has enabled the clerk to continue the sequence from that completed at 800 in the first. The film is of an excellent quality with clear & crisp images reflecting its recent production as a result this was a straightforward transcript to prepare and it is to hoped that few errors will have crept into its production. |
