Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Brockdish sits in southern Norfolk bordering
the county of Suffolk and the Waveney Valley. It lies to the east of the
market town of Diss and south-west of the market town of Harleston. The
parish formerly lay on the busy A143 road which links the port of Lowestoft
and the Waveney valley market towns to the west. The main centre of the
parish lies at a cross-roads on the former main road (which now bypasses
the village to the north), with a secondary centre of houses to the west
close to the church. |

The two registers from which this transcript was produced are filmed on Microfilm MF903 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. This filming is of reasonable quality and the images are of acceptable quality throughout. Subject to the usual caveat regarding the standard of handwriting this was a fairly straightforward transcript to produce. |
