The parish of Brandon Parva lies in central Norfolk roughly 5 miles northwest of the market town of Wymondham. Brandon Parva sits in the valley of the upper River Yare about 2 miles north of the B1108 road which connects the city of Norwich with the small market town of Watton. There is very little to Brandon Parva, a collection of farms and cottages lying across the Yare from its larger neighbour Barnham Broom and sited on a narrow lane leading through towards Mattishall. The parish of Brandon Parva is also small, even for a county with many small parishes, covering just 1,000 acres of rich arable farmland together with a set of pastures alongside the Yare. Even today this is something of a backwater with miles of winding narrow lane required to reach this spot.

All Saints' church sits away from the above lane and notional centre of population accessed by a roughly surfaced track northwestwards from Church Road. This is a typical Norfolk flint Perpendicular church dating from the turn of the centuries from 14th into 15th. The unbuttressed western tower with its flushwork battlemented top is perhaps its most distinguishing feature. Curiously the chancel is offset to the line of the nave and there has been speculation that a southern aisle once occupied that space. Of course after construction there have been changes, most windows were replaced in the 18th century whilst a more general restoration followed in the late 1850s. The church has no vehicular access, parking should be sought near to the start of the lane and the church approached on foot the half mile or so from Church Road. The churchyard has many dense trees around it and is compact so the building is something of a  challenge to adequately capture for the photographer.
