1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Bramerton St Peter |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
The parish of Bramerton sits to the south-east of the
city of Norwich about 4 miles east along the banks of the River Yare.
The parish is a mixture of riverside grazing marsh and to the south a
higher agricultural area around the village centre. The river is very
much the focus of the village these days with moorings and pub supporting
the pleasure craft trade. The village itself a half mile to the south
and 15 meters higher is grouped around the church and the junction with
the road to Surlingham. |

The records from which this transcript was prepared consist of a standard 800-entry book covering 1813 to 1901. This register is filmed on microfiche 4 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. The fiche is rather elderly and images are of a faint and bleached nature. Fortunately the register must be in a relatively good state of preservation as the entries are readable despite the image quality. This was a fairly straightforward transcript to prepare and it is hoped that few errors have crept into its preparation. |
