Baptisms 1813 to 1880
Beeston Regis parish sits on the North coast of Norfolk
just to the east of the seaside town of Sheringham. The parish nowadays
is almost joined by housing to its larger western neighbour but was formerly
one of many small fishing settlements along this stretch of coast. The
coastline consists of low sandy cliffs, much prone to erosion, which has
caused the loss of much land from the parish. |

These records were transcribed from Microfiche
2 in the collection of the Norfolk Record Office. Despite this being a rather
elderly filming the quality was acceptable with the image being clear and
contrasting. Subject to the ususal caveat regarding the encumbants' handwriting skills this was a relatively straight-forward transcription to prepare. It is to be hoped few errors have crept in to its compilation. |
