1813 to 1880 Baptism Project Trunch St Botolph |
Baptisms 1813 to 1880
Trunch is a pleasant village in north-east Norfolk situated a few miles inland from the North Sea in the rolling country close to North Walsham. The village is rare in preserving a definite centre with most of the amenities of life still present. St Botolph is an imposing structure, a fine Perpendicular towered church from the heady "wool" days of the county. St Botolph's finest feature, however, lies inside - it's 16th century font cover one of the finest in the land. |

These records were transcribed from microfilm MF1655 in the Norfolk Record Collection, this film stops short of the 1880 date by just over five years, these records being added from the Bishop's Transcripts. The records were by and large well filmed and clear although as usual some of the entries were less than legible in the inscription. Every effort has been taken to minimise mistakes but these cannot be ruled out. |
